What will the city be in the future? Do we simply want to be a "pass <br />through" community? How will Roseville regenerate? Resident age and racial <br />diversity and balance within community; continued strength in city and educational <br />services and programs? How do demographics shape the products and services <br />needed in the community? How can citizens participate in this discussion? <br /> <br />· Environmental quality - How will we maintain, improve, and beautify our <br />natural environment? <br /> <br />· Transportation - capacity expansion of Highway 36 and Interstate 35W and <br />county roads/city streets that act as "relievers"; access to Rosedale from Highway <br />36; how to deal with traffic congestions, noise and air quality. What are the state <br />and county transportation plans and projections? How can our roadways be more <br />visually inviting and present a cleaner, greener image? <br /> <br />· Public Transportation in first ring suburb needs city and regional improvement <br />How will public transit assist Roseville in the future? <br /> <br />· Twin Lakes - a consensus on what can be done and the need for a redevelopment <br />ethic <br /> <br />· Housing condition and value must be maintained; absentee landlords of single <br />family homes is increasing. <br /> <br />· Housing for public employees, especially first time homeowners is needed. <br /> <br />· Multi-family and rental housing issues: value to community, diversity of <br />types, density, safety, property value, and rental licensing <br /> <br />· Retail Centers - There is a change occurring in how we shop.
