<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 08/22/05 <br />Minutes - Page 10 <br /> <br />above-ground fuel tank at 1743 County Road C, subject to <br />conditions as outlined in Staff Report dated August 22, <br />2005. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan advised that she would be voting <br />against the motion due to no public notice to or comment <br />from surrounding businesses and residents; allowing <br />additional fuel storage in a mixed-use business park that <br />she opined was inconsistent with the long-term plans for <br />the Twin Lakes area; no environmental review; and <br />speaking as a resident, further opined that it was not an <br />appropriate use in a residential and major shopping center <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder recognized Councilmember <br />Ihlan's concerns, but opined that if this request wasn't <br />approved, the chances for an underground tank were more <br />prevalent; with this scenario allowing more Council <br />control, and further noting the precedence of tanks on the <br />adjoining lot. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough noted he would be voting against <br />the motion, due to the permanency of the tanks, and his <br />desired beautification of the area. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan and Kough. <br />Motion Adopted. <br /> <br />4.c <br /> <br />Approve United Properties' Final Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) for Midland Hills, 2001 Fulham <br />Street (PF 3670) (former Consent Item 3.g) <br />[7.1] <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Beets <br />briefly reviewed this request. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted her concerns with this item, as <br />well as the next item for final approval of a Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) being put under the Consent Agenda; <br />opining that they were complex issues and required ample <br /> <br />United Properties <br />Final PUD <br />Midland Hills <br />2001 Fulham Street <br />
