<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 08/22/05 <br />Minutes - Page 32 <br /> <br />Page 17, Section 5.07, City Retains Right to Specify Resident <br />Preparation Instructions <br />Mr. Pratt noted that, in the past, there had been conflicts between <br />the two sets of instructions and that the City would therefore <br />prepare instructions. <br /> <br />Page 19, Section 5.13, Non-Completion of Collection and <br />Extension of Collection Hours <br />Councilmember Schroeder suggested simplification of language <br />for the last two sentences, then remove, "first designated <br />alternate of..." <br /> <br />Page 19, Section 5.14, Severe Weather. <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned the realistic logistics of <br />this provision. <br /> <br />Following discussion, it was Council consensus to delete the <br />portion dealing with the contractor's responsibilities. <br /> <br />P. 21, Section 5.20, Damage to Property <br />Mr. Pratt noted the number of problems in the past related to the <br />contractor providing timely repair or replacement, particularly in <br />multi-family units. <br /> <br />City Attorney Anderson recommended, with Council <br />concurrence, deleting "Except for reasonable wear and tear,..." <br />from the language, but noted the remaining language was <br />adequate. <br /> <br />Page 21, Section 5.21, Municipal Facilities <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned the language of "dual <br />stream cart" service to City facilities. <br /> <br />City Attorney Anderson recommended, with Council <br />concurrence, removing that language. <br /> <br />Page 22, Section 5.22, Purchase of Bins, Lids and Wheel Kits <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned the rate of reimbursement <br />and rationale for the contractor to pick up used containers. <br />
