<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 11128/05 <br />Minutes - Page 7 <br /> <br />for further discussion, and to address City Council <br />concerns. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing sought consensus to approve the Check <br />Register. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough advised that he would approve the <br />Check Register, with reservations as previously addressed <br />regarding reimbursement of expenses from the developer. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Kough seconded, approval of the <br />following claims and payments as presented. <br /> <br />ACH Pa ents <br />41599-41740 <br />Total <br /> <br />$101,585.55 <br />$1,008,795.27 <br />$1,110,380.82 <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />4.b <br /> <br />Approve a Resolution Adopting a City Fee Schedule <br />(Former Consent Agenda Item 3.e) <br />Councilmember Kough opined that the fee increase for <br />3.2% Off-Sale Liquor Licenses from $30.00 in 2005 to the <br />recommended $200.00 in 2006 was excessive for an annual <br />renewal. <br /> <br />Finance Director Miller advised that the rationale for this <br />increase was that regulatory costs (i.e., criminal <br />background and compliance checks) were being incurred <br />by these establishments, similar to other liquor <br />establishments. Mr. Miller noted that the fee had not been <br />previously reviewed, and had remained at $30.00 for many <br />years, and didn't represent actual costs.
