<br />Community Town Hall Meeting - 04/26/04 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />7:00 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Informal Citizen-Council Staff Workshop <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the formal portion of the meeting at <br />6:53 p.m. to allow staff and Councilmembers to mingle <br />informally with those residents in attendance for the Town Hall <br />meeting. Specific post card notice, along with other means of <br />media notice, had been provided to residents on the east side of <br />Lexington Avenue to alert citizens and interested parties of <br />today's meeting. <br /> <br />Inforn1al small group and individual conversations were held <br />with citizens as they mingled with Councilmembers and staff <br />located in the immediate hallway with display boards and other <br />materials describing City operations and specific departments. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />Mayor Klausing reconvened the formal portion of the meeting at <br />7:32 p.m. and thanked residents for their attendance, briefly <br />explaining the purpose of the Town Hall meeting for the Council <br />to receive input prior to the 2005 Budget process; and for <br />residents to provide their community concerns and issues of <br />which Councilmembers may not be aware. <br /> <br />9.a <br /> <br />Council Proclamation Honoring Scout Troop #150 and <br />Leader Brian Veach for Litter Pick-up at Langton Lake <br />Boy Scout Troop 150, sponsored by Calvary Baptist <br />Church, and under the leadership of Brian Veach <br />Prior to proceeding with the Public Comment portion of the <br />meeting, Mayor Klausing recognized and welcomed Scout <br />Troop 150 and their leadership in attendance at tonight's <br />meeting. Mayor Klausing noted the recent week of focused <br />clean up of the City of Roseville, initially advocated by <br />Councilmember Tom Kough, and coordinated by staff, as <br />well as recognizing the Scout Troop's participation in the <br />event. Staff provided pictures of some of the Troop's <br />"finds" in the Langton Lake area where they had been <br />working. <br /> <br />Den Leader Brian Veach reviewed highlights of the <br />Troop's collection activities, anticipating that it would be <br /> <br />7 :30 - 7 :30 p.m. <br />Informal Citizen- <br />Council Staff <br />Workshop <br /> <br />Recognitions, <br />Donations, <br />Communications <br /> <br />Council <br />Proclamation <br />Honoring Scout <br />Troop #150 <br />
