Discussion ensued regarding whether to direct the City Attorney to draft language for Council consideration of a moratorium on further minor subdivision requests until further study was conducted. After brief deliberation, it was the Council consensus to not take action on a moratorium. Written public comment received as bench handout(s) related to PF 3556 included: 1) June 14, 2004 letter from Herbert and Betty Mischke, 3100 Ridgewood Road (in opposition). 10. Consider a Request by Edward Trudeau for a Variance and Minor Subdivision to Allow the Creation of Two Substandard Residential Parcels at 2485 Pascal Street (PF 3571 ) City Planner Thomas Paschke reviewed this request, noting that the Planning Commission had unanimously recommended denial, with staff recommending approval. Mayor Klausing noted that the applicant was at tonight's meeting. Larry Neilson, Attorney representing Mr. Trudeau (applicant) Mr. Neilson noted that the variance request was minor, and requested the City Council use their discretion in granting the request, largely necessitated by the geography of the roadway. Mr. Neilson reviewed other rationale for approval; and provided severa11etters of support from neighbors as bench handouts. Counci1member Kough concurred with Mr. Trudeau's request. Mayor Klausing opened the meeting for public comment related to this request.
