<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 07/26/04 <br />Minutes - Page 24 <br /> <br />Mr. Welsch noted that the developer would like to have direction <br />for preparation of a Concept plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing sought Council consensus. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke in support of moving forward <br />at this time, noting the substantial input received to-date from <br />involved parties and neighborhood residents. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded approval of the McCarron's <br />Neighborhood Master Plan amendment to the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan as consistent with the goals and policies of <br />the Plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough spoke in support of the motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested additional time to review the <br />Master Plan amendment, noting that what was before the Council <br />was not a specific proposal on the development, but was seeking <br />approval for a Master Plan for an entire neighborhood, and <br />would dictate general policy guidelines for future development <br />and redevelopment. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted, for the developer's information, his <br />approval of the general concept of the proposal. <br /> <br />Ihlan moved, Klausing seconded, tabling consideration of the <br />McCarron's Neighborhood Master Plan amendment to the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan until the August 9, 2004 regular City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: Schroeder and Kough. <br /> <br />Recess Recess <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at 8:43 p.m. and <br />reconvened at 8:49 p.m. <br /> <br />9.
