Request for City Council to Authorize the Issuance of <br />$9.7 Million in General Obligation Bonds for the Police <br />and Public Works Improvements Approved by the <br />Voters <br />Klausing moved, Schroeder seconded adoption of <br />Resolution No. 10069 entitled, "Resolution Providing for <br />the Competitive Negotiated Sale of $9,700,000 General <br />Obligation Municipal Building Bonds, Series 2003A;" <br />scheduled the bond sale date for Monday, February 1 0, 2003 <br />at 11 :00 a.m., with consideration for award by the City <br />Council at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on <br />February 10, 2003. <br /> <br />Finance Director Chris TvIiller provided the resolution as a <br />bench handout. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn clarified the bid process. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough questioned the acceptance of bids. <br /> <br />Mr. Miller responded that the low bid would need to be <br />accepted unless there was an inconsistency, oversight, or <br />blatant omission not in the spirit of the bid. <br /> <br />Discussion included the City's current credit rating; and <br />alerted staff to a spelling error on page 1 of the draft <br />resolution (third sentence from bottom). <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Kough, Schroeder, Klausing and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />B.
