Regular City Council Minutes - 2110/03
Page 7

driveways as previously discussed.

Mayor Kysylyczyn called for public input at this time.

Mary Walser, 675 Pineview Court
Ms. Walser expressed her support of the twenty-eight foot
road width.

Martha Hill, 645 Pineview Court
Ms. Hill expressed her support of the twenty-eight foot
road width.

Andy Biner, 646 Pineview Court
Mr. Biner expressed his support of the twenty-eight foot
road width, specifically due to parking access.

Mayor Kysylyczyn closed the Public Hearing at 8:58 p.nl.

Councilmember Kough expressed his desire for the record
that the City wanted to provide quality contractors for this
reconstruction to ensure the residents were under no
hardships.

Mayor Kysylyczyn addressed past issues regarding quality
of work, particularly with driveway replacements, and
litigation involving the City.

Ms. Bloom advised that in discussions with the past City
Attorney, it had been recommended that, while the City
promotes residents' improvements of their properties
during reconstruction projects in the neighborhood, the
City no longer becomes involved in the driveway
replacement contract process, instead simply providing
contractor information to those affected residents.

Councilmember Schroeder clarified that the City was
responsible for work within construction project limits, but
anything outside that project zone is private property
owner responsibility. Ms. Bloom concurred with
Councilmember Schroeder's assessment.
