Regular City Council Minutes - 3/10/03
Page 16

Mayor Kysylyczyn asked who would be responsible for
undergrounding of electrical lines (i.e., light poles,
exterior distribution lights).

After conferring, Mr. VanSlyke and Mr. Welsch stated
that more discussion and research would need to take
place for that determination to be made.

Mayor Kysylyczyn sought clarification from the three-
dimension elevations if the building exceeded the
proposed Arona building, and whether it was in character
with the RosePoint building across the street.

Mr. Welsch responded that both buildings would be four
(4) stories high, and that the RosePoint building is 5 - 6
stories high, and the neighborhood buildings had been
reviewed prior to developnlent of the proposed project.

Mr. Welsch anticipated that the applicant would return at
a future Council meeting, anticipated within 30 - 60 days,
with final costs.

Kysylyczyn moved, and ruled seconded, an amendment
to the motion, to add an additional condition under
Section 8, namely number 8.9, that overhead utilities be
undergrounded.

Mr. Welsch stated that he would discuss the request with
the applicant to determine its feasibility.

Councilmember Klausing expressed concern about
making it a condition without further exploration and
studying its feasibility.

After further discussion, Kysylyczyn withdrew his
amendment to the motion.

Ayes:
Nays:

Roll Call
Schroeder, Klausing, Maschka and Kysylyczyn.
None.
