<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 4/28/03 <br />Page 35 <br /> <br />applicants during his term of office; and noticed the <br />excellence of all candidates who had applied. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing spoke against the motion, <br />opining that as he understands State Statute and City <br />Rules of Procedure, he thought it was the Council's <br />duty to appoint. Councilmember Klausing further <br />opined that those providing service to the community <br />on a Commission, and wishing to do so, should be <br />allowed to continue their service providing for <br />consistency within the specific Commission. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Kough, and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Klausing and Maschka. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />A. Public Workshop Regarding our Construction <br />Proj ect <br />Councilmember Kough advised of discussion he had <br />with staff regarding recent misinformation regarding <br />the City's Public Safety and Public Works <br />construction projects. Councilmember Kough <br />suggested that the public be informed of specific <br />dates and times when staff would be available to <br />meet with them to review the plans and architectural <br />drawings, and any comments or questions they had <br />regarding the project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough advised that, unless the City <br />Council voice concerns, staff had readily agreed to <br />make themselves available with City Manager Beets <br />volunteering to chair any meetings held if necessary. <br />Councilmember Kough encouraged Council support <br />to ensure the open communication. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn opined that he had no problem <br />with anyone meeting, but wanted to ensure that no <br />false impression had been given in a recent editorial; <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Public Workshop <br />Regarding our <br />Construction <br />Project <br />
