<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 5/12/03 <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />or the Foundation for additional information or to make <br />donations for various projects. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson stated that the Foundation had received grant <br />funds from C-TV to develop an informational video to be <br />included as part of their fall fundraiser celebrating the 40th <br />Anniversary of the Foundation, scheduled for Friday, <br />October 3, 2003 at the OVAL. <br /> <br />Contact numbers for Mr. Brokke at the City of Roseville <br />and Mr. Johnson at the Foundation were given, 651-415- <br />2107 and 651-490-9411 respectively. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder reiterated Councilmember <br />Klausing's comments; but expressed appreciation for the <br />Foundation's responsible consideration by deferring the <br />Japanese Garden; reiterating one of his goals to defer <br />additional construction projects until maintenance <br />objectives were met. <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br />Hearings, continued <br /> <br />A. Consider Bus Shelters and Bus Benches in Roseville <br />Public Works Director Duane Schwartz reviewed the staff <br />report dated May 12, 2003 providing background <br />information; and further discussions held with <br />representatives of the bench company and the shelter <br />company in an effort to achieve common ground for <br />positioning shelters and/or benches and development of <br />applicable ordinances and/or franchise agreements. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka requested that staff provide <br />maps of those sites that appear to be in conflict. <br /> <br />Mr. Schwartz advised that Outdoor Promotions was still <br />reviewing the agreement, reviewing a potential twenty <br />sites under their proposal, and right-of-way issues. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka stated his position and intent in <br />not putting one business out of business in order to <br />accommodate another; encouraged co-location and <br /> <br />Hearings <br /> <br />Consider Bus <br />Shelters and Bus <br />Benches in <br />Roseville <br />
