<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 06/09/03 <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />residences, and concern with the continued church growth <br />related to parking needs. <br /> <br />Richard Jacobson, 2719 Woodbridge Street <br />Mr. Jacobson expressed two (2) concerns: increased traffic <br />on Woodbridge; and the proposed pond area on the north <br />side with Phase II. Mr. Jacobson advised that, even today <br />on Sunday mornings, Woodbridge Street has parking on <br />either side of the street, making navigation difficult for <br />through traffic, and questioned whether additional on-site <br />parking could be adequate in alleviating that problem with <br />the addition of high school student drivers. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobson advised that his concerns related to the <br />proposed pond on the northen1 end of the site were due to <br />safety of children and aesthetics. <br /> <br />Hien Van Nguyen, 2697 Woodbridge Street <br />Mr. Nguyen opined that the time line addressed by a <br />woman at a previous meeting was not realistic; the <br />complications of exiting the parking lot onto Rice Street; <br />and expressed concerns regarding increased parking on <br />Woodbridge in front of residential properties, and if this <br />occurred during the week, the Post Office would not <br />deliver mail. Mr. Nguyen encouraged the City Council to <br />carefully consider this proj ect, and listen to neighborhood <br />concerns before making a decision. <br /> <br />Community Developl11ent Director Welsch addressed <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn's comn1ents regarding the type of <br />stormwater holding pond proposed; stating that as the City <br />was in the middle of approving a new water management <br />plan, he wasn't sure if the proposed pond was applicable, <br />or would need revision. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn asked a representative for the applicant <br />to come forward to the podium to address those issues <br />raised by the Council and the public. <br /> <br />Gregg Anderson, applicant's representative <br />Pond: Mr. Anderson advised that there was currently no <br />pond engineered for the southwest comer of the site; that <br />
