<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 08/04/03 <br />Page 13 <br /> <br />comments, concurring with the opportunity to save <br />taxpayers $70,000. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka requested, and Mr. Pratt <br />clarified, the process to-date in receiving comment from <br />the City's Solid Waste Recycling Advisory and the Public <br />Works and Transportation Commissions and their <br />respecti ve recommendations. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing requested, and City Attorney <br />Anderson confirmed that the existing contract was in <br />place; and should the motion fail, the contract would <br />remain in effect under the current terms. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Klausing and Maschka <br />Nays: Schroeder and Kysylyczyn. <br />Motion failed. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, directing staff to <br />implement a single-stream curbside, residential collection <br />system city-wide at a savings of $70,000; and further <br />directed staff to assemble an amended contract for review <br />at the next regularly scheduled meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Klausing and Maschka. <br />Motion failed. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to return to the August 11, 2003 regular <br />Council meeting with this item for further discussion. <br /> <br />VII.
