Presentations <br /> <br />A. Consider Changing the City's Residential Recycling <br />Policy and Existing Recycling Contract with Waste <br />Management <br />Acting Mayor Kough advised that he preferred a full <br />Council in attendance prior to acting on this item. <br /> <br />Kough moved to continue this item to the October 13, <br />2003 regular City Council rneeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing recommended that the Council <br />table the item until one of the Councilmembers or Mayor <br />Kysylyczyn brought the item forward on a future agenda, <br />rather than making the motion date-specific. <br /> <br />After further consideration, Kough amended the original <br />motion, and Maschka seconded removing the date-specific <br />wording of the motion, reserving the right of any <br />Councilmember or Mayor Kysylyczyn to bring the item <br />forward at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke to the motion, since the <br />topic was potentially going to be tabled; and provided <br />comment in case the opportunity was not available in the <br />future. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder presented an overhead slide, <br />outlining his interpreted cost comparisons from 2003 - <br />2008 comparing start dates for single sort in 2005; single <br />sort now; number of applicable months; difference; and <br />increase and/or decrease; and based on these calculations, <br />opining that it would cost $2.24 more if implementation of <br />the single-sort occurred after a pilot study. <br /> <br />Presentations <br /> <br />Consider Changing <br />the City's <br />Residential <br />Recycling Policy <br />and Existing <br />Recycling Contract <br />with Waste <br />rvIallagerI1ellt <br />
