Regular City Council Minutes - 10/20/03
Page 2

Councilmember Maschka clarified, and Ms. Berry
responded, that those performing the study, for any
questions or additional information, were listed in the
Acknowledgment portion of the document.

B. Al Sands, 2612 Aldine Avenue
Mr. Sands spoke as a representative of the City's Parks
and Recreation Commission to inform the public that the
Commission was in the process of coordinating volunteers
from the Roseville High School Honor Society, along with
student liaison Brian Majerus, whose goal was to provide
assistance to senior citizens and others in the community
needing assistance with their leaf raking efforts. Mr.
Sands advised that the number of crews available would
be determined by the number of volunteers recruited, and
urged senior citizens to contact their churches or other
sources to ensure the work was performed. IvIr. Sands
provided the contact phone numbers at the City's Parks
and Recreation Department, Jill Anfang @651-792-71 02
or 792-7006 if they needed assistance.

C. Bernie Bahnemann, 2656 Lexington Avenue North
Mr. Bahnemann spoke regarding his disapproval of
political signs, opining they were polluting the street
comers and neighborhoods.

D. Ramsey County Information Technology Initiative
Commissioner Jim McDonough, Chair of the Ramsey
County Board of Commissioners, was in attendance along
with County Commissioner Jan Weissner.

Commissioner McDonough invited the City of Roseville,
on behalf of Ramsey County, to join in a proposed study
of information technologies within Ramsey County.
Commissioner McDonough advised that information
technology needs had been identified as a priority project
by the Ramsey County League of Local Governments
(RCLLG), and invited schools and municipalities
interested in participating to join Ramsey County, rather
than each entity pursuing a study independently.

Ramsey County
Information
Technology
Initiative
