<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 11/24/03 <br />Page 19 <br /> <br />Mayor I(ysylyczyn noted that the City currently had 20 <br />liquor licenses available, with 19 in use; and <br />acknowledged that if the Council so desired, special <br />legislation normally required minimal effort on the state <br />level. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued and City Attorney Anderson was <br />directed to pursue the matter in the future as tin1e allowed. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />A. Citywide Billboard Signage Issues <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn noted that he had been approached by <br />one company related to exchange of a residential with a <br />commercial billboard relocation; and sought Council <br />consensus in pursuing the possibility and use of staff time. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn noted ten locations of existing <br />billboards that were in residential areas that had been <br />"grandfathered" in. <br /> <br />City Attorney Anderson noted that current local ordinance <br />would need amending to allow for their relocation and/or <br />replacement, and could be met with several legal <br />challenges. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, it was the consensus of the <br />Council not to pursue this exchange or relocation issue. <br /> <br />V. <br /> <br />Recognitions <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br /> <br />A.
