Other Business <br /> <br />A. Council Discussion and Direction Regarding the 2004 <br />City Budget <br />Mayor Kysy1yczyn noted that he had received a request <br />from two of the City Counci1men1bers to look at the <br />summary of suggested budget reductions identified in the <br />October 27, 2003 staff report from Finance Director <br />Miller, to determine consensus. Mayor I(ysy1yczyn <br />further noted that some reductions would affect the <br />property tax levy, while some would reduce tax burdens <br />for the citizens of Roseville. <br /> <br />Su gested Reduction <br />Reduce LMCIT insurance premiun1 <br /> <br /> <br />Su ested Amount <br />$50,000 - $100,000 <br /> <br />Kysy1yczyn n10ved, Kough seconded, reduction of the <br />LMCIT insurance premium at a savings of$100,000. <br /> <br />Finance Director Miller noted that $50,000 of this amount <br />was tax-supported funds, with the other $50,000 in special <br />funds, but the reduction would give an overall savings of <br />$100,000. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and <br />Kysy1yczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Su ested Reduction <br />Reduce COLA from 3.00/0 to 2.3% <br /> <br />Su ested Amount <br />$35,000 - 70,000 <br /> <br />Kysy1yczyn moved, Klausing seconded, reducing the 2004 <br />Cost of Living Adjustn1ent to employee wages from 3 % to <br />2.3 % for a cost savings of approximately $70,000. <br /> <br />Counci1member Kough noted he did not support 2.3%, <br /> <br />Other Business <br /> <br />Council Discussion <br />and Direction <br />Regarding the 2004 <br />City Budget <br />
