<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 11/24/03 <br />Page 29 <br /> <br />I Ambassador Foundation <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Klausing seconded, reduction of the <br />City's contribution to the Roseville Ambassador <br />Foundation from the 2003 funding of $5,000 to $2,500 for <br />2004. <br /> <br />Discussion included provision by the Foundation of an <br />accounting of how the funds were spent, with staff <br />directed to provide the information from the Foundation. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Su ested Reduction <br />Reduce contribution to the Sister City <br />Program <br /> <br />Su ested Amount <br />$2,000 <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, without a second reducing the <br />contribution to the Sister City Program from its current <br />level of $4,000 to $2,000 for 2004. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough spoke against this motion, noting <br />that the Program didn't even request funding last year. <br /> <br />Discussion included the reappropriation of funds to the <br />General Fund Reserves when not used; and the process for <br />making requests for the program and the City Manager's <br />oversight of those requests. <br /> <br />With the exception of Counciln1ember Kough, it was the <br />consensus of Councilmembers to reduce the contribution <br />by $2,000, with the potential for the Sister City Program to <br />make specific appropriation requests to the City Council if <br />a need should arise during the 2004 Budget year. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Klausing and Kysylyczyn. <br />
