Counciln1ember Schroeder reiterated his <br />recommendation for a reduction from six to four editions <br />and eliminating the multi-color printing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing questioned if there were <br />additional savings to be realized from previous budget <br />reductions for this con1munication resource; and spoke in <br />opposition to the motion. <br /> <br />Councilmen1ber Kough spoke in opposition to the n10tion. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn opined that the WRAP was not an <br />effective communication tool, citing alleged errors. <br /> <br />Further discussion included potential for e-mail delivery of <br />the newsletter; reluctance of a majority of the senior <br />population to move to the electronic delivery; staff time <br />required to maintain the e-mail list; printing of the <br />employee newsletter via e-mail, with hard copies provided <br />as applicable. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn spoke in support of the lTIotion for a <br />reduction of $23,000, as proposed by Councilmen1ber <br />Schroeder. <br /> <br />Further discussion ensued regarding use of cable franchise <br />fees; the amount of the reduction; with several <br />amendn1ents to the motion offered for reductions of <br />$10,000, $5,000, and $7,500 respectively. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved amendment to the motion, Schroeder <br />seconded, reducing the printing costs by $5,000 for the <br />Wrap. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Kough and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Maschka and Klausing. <br /> <br />Suggested Amount I <br />$15,000 I <br /> <br />I Suggested Reduction <br />I Delay replacen1ent of small equipment <br />
