City Council Regular Meeting - OS/22/06
Minutes - Page 11

At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Beets the B-4, Retail
briefly reviewed this item to correct a codification error Office Service
where areas of text and the accompanying chart, when District (PF 3764)
updated and clarified, were found to be inconsistent with
errors of omission in the chart. Mr. Beets noted that this
particular correction was to clarify the types of restaurants
allowed in B-4 Zoning Districts.

Councilmember Ihlan questioned the existing language of
the matrix versus the proposed language, specifically that
of drive-ins; questioning whether this was a change in
policy, not just a correction in the table.

City Planner Thomas Paschke reviewed the history of the
codification process, dating back to 2003 and 2004; and
the omissions recently found.

Councilmember Ihlan asked that the request be tabled until
staff provided documentation of past Council action and
verification, via meeting minutes and supporting
documentation, from February of 2003 on, prior to
Council action.

Ihlan moved, Klausing seconded, tabling action for a
change in the Business District Zone chart pertaining to
restaurants as a permitted use (Class I, III & IV) and
conditional use (Class V) within the B-4, Retail Office
Service District zoning designation, until the June 12,
2006 regular City Council meeting; and directing staff to
provide documentation and verification of past City
Council action in the Council Packet information related
to that prior action, specifically addressing permitted
drive-in restaurants.
Roll Call
Ayes: Pust; Maschka; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing.
Nays: None.

4.d

Reimbursable Twin Lakes Expenses (Former Agenda
Item 4.a)
At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Beets
briefly reviewed this request for approval of claims, as

Reimbursable Twin
Lakes Expenses
