City Council Minutes - 03/25/02 <br />Page 7 <br />Kough asked about green space, ingress and egress, and <br />sidewalks. <br />Kysylyczyn asked for citizen comment: <br />^ Tim Higgins, resident, supported additional <br />ingress and egress to the Arona site, and housing <br />on the Arona site not office uses. <br />^ Sid Forth, resident, asked for additional park <br />space, saving trees, and advocated housing not <br />off ce uses. <br />^ Pam Higgins, resident, was concerned about <br />traffic, the amount of green space in the <br />neighborhood, supported senior housing (such as <br />the cottages in Maple Grove), and encouraged a <br />natural feeling around the pond. <br />^ Mike Schneider, resident, spoke to the history of <br />the Arona Site and the need for park space not <br />housing or office uses. <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, to amend pg. 11 <br />(of 15) of the Project Report to provide that "All requests <br />for City financial assistance of Phase II redevelopment <br />will be reduced to writing and sent to the City Council <br />for consideration." <br />Klausing, Schroeder and Kough spoke in favor of the <br />underlying motion. Kysylyczyn spoke about what his <br />concerns of opening the southern ingress/egress. <br />Roll Call on the motion to amend, Ayes: Maschka, <br />Schroeder, Klausing, Kough, Kysylyczyn.
