<br />City Council Minutes - OS/20/02 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />acquiring recycling bins. <br />Schroeder spoke in favor of larger recycling containers. <br />Gary Boyum, Waste Management, spoke in favor of a <br />recycling pilot program using "single sort." Kough <br />spoke in favor of public education. <br />J oe Wozniak described the challenges in implementing <br />multi-family recycling. He encouraged a phase-in <br />approach to garbage collection. <br />Kough expressed concerns about organized collection. <br />Kysylyczyn spoke in favor of fixing multifamily <br />recycling, suggesting option 2 under the Committee's <br />Report. <br />Schroeder expressed concerns about multiple haulers <br />using City roads. <br />Paul Severson spoke in favor of some form of organized <br />collection, citing the positive experiences with organized <br />collection in White Bear Township, Little Canada, North <br />St. Paul and Vadnais Heights, among other cities. <br />Kysylyczyn issued a certificate of recognition to each <br />Committee member. <br /> <br />III.
