<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 07/24/06 <br />Minutes - Page 19 <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka noted that, in his original work with <br />the Planning Commission and staff in developing this portion of <br />the code, this exterior finish material on the proposed building <br />could serve as a "poster child" for what the City was trying to <br />eliminate; opining it looked like a pole barn. <br /> <br />[4.1] <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, DENIAL of the request by <br />O'Reilly Auto Parts, to install Butler Manufacturing pre-finished <br />metal wall panel system as an allowable exterior finish for the <br />proposed site development at 1887 Rice Street, based on City <br />Code Section 101O.02(t) and (g), and based on what the <br />applicant was proposing not being similar to other approved <br />materials, due to lack of architectural features, and was more like <br />unpainted galvanized metals; and direct the City Planner to work <br />with the applicant on an allowable exterior finish consistent with <br />City Code, Section 1010.02 of the Roseville City Code. <br /> <br />It was Council consensus that the City was not amenable to <br />building of pole bams in the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Pust; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />Fire Department Daytime Staffing Issue <br />No action taken. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />Councilmember-Initiated Items from Previous Council <br />Meetings <br /> <br />14.a Request of Councilmember Ihlan: City practices and <br />policy for forwarding e-mails to third parties; and <br />who determines the relevance of when information is <br />included in a Council packet <br />Councilmember Ihlan proposed a City policy that e-mails <br />sent to city.council@roseville.mn.us should not be <br />forwarded to third parties (outside of City staft) without <br /> <br />Fire Department <br />Daytime Staffing <br />Issue <br /> <br />Councilmember- <br />Initiated Items <br />from Previous <br />Council Meetings <br />
