City Council Regular Meeting - 07/24/06 Minutes - Page 19 Councilmember Maschka noted that, in his original work with the Planning Commission and staff in developing this portion of the code, this exterior finish material on the proposed building could serve as a "poster child" for what the City was trying to eliminate; opining it looked like a pole barn. [4.1] Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, DENIAL of the request by O'Reilly Auto Parts, to install Butler Manufacturing pre-finished metal wall panel system as an allowable exterior finish for the proposed site development at 1887 Rice Street, based on City Code Section 101O.02(t) and (g), and based on what the applicant was proposing not being similar to other approved materials, due to lack of architectural features, and was more like unpainted galvanized metals; and direct the City Planner to work with the applicant on an allowable exterior finish consistent with City Code, Section 1010.02 of the Roseville City Code. It was Council consensus that the City was not amenable to building of pole bams in the City of Roseville. Roll Call Ayes: Maschka; Pust; Ihlan and Klausing. Nays: None. 12.
