Councilmember Ihlan requested
City Council discussion at a future Study Session.
Councilmember Ihlan noted that she had previously
provided a copy of a related sample ordinance from the
City of Shoreview.

Mayor Klausing supported discussion; and questioned
whether the Community Visioning process should review
the proposed ordinances in that context or whether staff
should be directed to review them further.

Councilmember Ihlan opined that the Community
Visioning process was not an appropriate place for review;
and renewed her intent to move that the City Council
consider a moratorium on subdivisions before additional
issues became apparent.

Mayor Klausing expressed concern that the election
season may not be an appropriate time for new initiatives.

Councilmember Ihlan opined that the Council needed to
discuss this issue immediately.

Councilmember-
Initiated Items
from Council
