<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 09/25/06 <br />Minutes - Page 7 <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Maschka seconded, award of the contract <br />for search firm services in the City Manager hiring process <br />to Personnel Decisions International. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan and Kough. <br /> <br />Public Comment <br />Al Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands requested that the public be advised on the City's <br />website of the eight internal and eight external panelists; and <br />requested that the findings of each specific set of panelists <br />be kept separate. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Miller advised that staff would post <br />the panelists on the City's website. <br /> <br />Mr. Sands also requested that the interviews be held <br />publicly, as normal procedure on cable for commission <br />interviews. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing advised that, staff and the City Attorney <br />would be directed to look into the hiring process and <br />determine the openness of the process related to data privacy <br />issues protecting the candidates.
