Seek Council Guidance Regarding a Process for Commission <br />Replacing a Planning Commissioner and for Vacancies <br />Appointing Public Works and Police Civil Service <br />Commissioners <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, per the motion <br />distributed at this time, to change Rule 10 of the <br />Council's Standing Rules of Procedure, as follows: "The <br />Mayor shall review and select one or more members to <br />serve as liaisons to outside boards, associations, or joint <br />powers organizations. The Mayor shall interview and <br />make all appointments to Council citizen advisory <br />committees, subcommittees, or task forces except as <br />specified by law or ordinance. Selections may be rejected <br />by the full Council within 30 days of appointment." <br /> <br />Klausing asked about the scope of the proposed rule <br />change.
