<br />City Council Minutes - 08/05/02 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Several Councilmembers expressed their reluctance to <br />rate the proposals without having more of a chance to <br />absorb the proposals, and prior to hearing public <br />comment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder: <br />Councilmember Schroeder expressed his appreciation to <br />staff for editing the number of proposals to four (4), <br />saving Councilmembers substantial time and effort. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder stated that the quality of all <br />four (4) proposals was exceptional. <br /> <br /># 1 - United Properties/Coalition of Churches <br />Councilmelnber Schroeder stated that this proposal's <br />attributes were the tiered affect; density selection near <br />residential areas; and overall use of Open Space. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder expressed his desire for <br />negotiating the proposed park dedication and cooperation <br />in working out street designs to make them maintainable. <br /> <br />#2 - MetroPlains (PrimRose) <br />Councilmember Schroeder stated that this plan was also <br />very attractive to him. <br /> <br />#3 Town & Country/Common Bond <br />Councilmember Schroeder expressed his concerns <br />regarding the urban design and housing density. <br /> <br />#4 - Timbercraft (Arona Village) <br />Councilmember Schroeder stated that he couldn't really <br />define his concerns with this proposal, but it didn't <br />impress him as the top design. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Kough: <br />Acting Mayor Kough stated that, prior to making a firm <br />ranking, he was very interested in the public comments. <br />Councilmember Kough stated that previous comments of <br />residents concerned ingress and egress and park areas, <br />
