<br /> <br />Mike <br />Mr. Schneider spoke on his behalf, and that of his <br />neighbor, Sam Marks, 1491 Centennial Drive, who was <br />unable to attend tonight's meeting, but had provided a <br />written was a part <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Schneider stated United's development team <br />continually demonstrated their willingness to work with <br />the neighborhood, and that their proposal addressed <br />neighborhood concerns regarding housing needs; green <br />space; neighborhood connectivity. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets spoke to the Council providing an <br />option of a second developer to accommodate any <br />problems with the first developer. <br /> <br />David Norgaard, 2499 North Albert <br />Mr. Norgaard spoke to recent legislation changes in the <br />State of Minnesota for long-term care provision for <br />individuals with illness and disabilities called aging-in- <br />place, moving away from nursing home care. Mr. <br />Norgaard asked that Councilmembers ensure that each <br />and every home in this development provide for <br />handicapped accessibility. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Welsch stated that <br />that consideration was part of the negotiation process <br />with a preliminary developer following Council direction <br />to staff. <br /> <br />Noone else spoke for or against. <br />Acting Mayor Kough closed the public hearing at 9: 10 <br />p.m. <br />
