City Council Minutes - 08/19/02
Page 11

provide solutions to density and open space concerns.

Ayes:
Nays:

Roll Call
Maschka, Kough and Klausing.
None.

Klausing moved, Maschka seconded approval of the first
reading of an ordinance rezoning the parcels at 2245,
2263 and 2275 County Road B from Single Family
Residence District (R -1) to Planned Unit Development
(PUD) with an underlying zoning of Two Family
Residence (R-2).

Ayes:
Nays:

Roll Call
Maschka, Kough and Klausing.
None.

B.

Consideration of the Viking Racing Pigeon Club's
Request for a Variance at 716 County Road C (PF
3393)
Community Development Director Welsch reviewed the
variance request to allow a shed to remain within the
required thirty foot (30') setback for a public right-of-
way and to allow a previously completed driveway
replacement to remain, as recommended by the Planning
Commission and staff.

The applicant was not present for comment and there
were no public comments.

Councilmembers expressed their displeasure that the
contractor did not make application for a Building Permit
at the time the improvements were completing, avoiding
necessitating this variance.

City Attorney Jamnik stated that, Council could include
a condition to the variance, doubling the permit fee, as
per City code, but that it would impact the property
owner, rather than the contractor.

Klausing moved, Kough seconded adoption of

Resolution 10021
Viking Racing
Pigeon Club
Request for
Variance
716 County Rd. C
(PF 3393)
