Favors some Parks and Recreation members on the task force. Estimates a timeline of three-five years before a referendum can successfully be held. Scott Higbee: Wonders if community truly supports a community center. Tom Kough: Ran on an election plank favoring a community center and that is still his # 1 priority. He spoke highly of a community center in Australia. He favors community center supporters only on the task force. He encourages money pledges to support the community center, both individual and business. He wants support from the School District and Falcon Heights. He worries about maintenance costs, but believes there should be a community center. Caitlin McCloon: Lonnie Brokke reviewed her e-mail discussing the five questions. Gale Pederson: Felt the loss of the Arona site lead to a loss of a sense of community in Roseville. She fears Fairview is too busy. She believes a three - four year time frame is doable. She wants both City Council and Parks and Recreation members on the steering committee - and to look at negatives as well as positives. Wants community meetings to discuss whether there should be a community center. John Kysylyczyn: Does not favor another group to study the issue. That would be a complete waste of time and money. He does not favor the Parks and Recreation Commission or the City Council as leading this effort. He favors a group of governing bodies looking at this. He favors looking at park land as a possible site. He also favors the Parkview school site.
