Regular City Council Minutes 12/02/02
Page 15

Gordy Howe 2245, 2263, 2275 West County Road B
(new development)
Mr. Howe stated that, when he first heard about the
closure he wasn't too concerned, but now he concurred
with those residents expressing opposition, citing the
length of the cul-de-sac created with the closing of County
Road B at Highway 280, and other safety ramifications in
the neighborhood.

Mary Matera, County Road B and Highway 280
Ms. Matera spoke to the lack of signage identifying the
exit on Terminal Road and suggested that Terminal Road
improvements would eliminate lots of traffic. Ms. Matera
expressed her opposition to closing County Road B at
Highway 280, but asked that the emergency access be a
priority concern if that were to happen.

Fran Anderson, 2276 West County Road B
Ms. Anderson concurred with previous comments against
the proj ect, inferring that the only reason County Road B
was being closed was to access federal funds.

Ken Gibson, West County Road B
Mr. Gibson asked for Council consideration that closing
County Road B may increase his residential fire insurance
premiums. Mr. Gibson stated that there were several
streets that would not have access for turnarounds, Eustice
and St. Croix and St. Stephens.

Tom Maynard, 2091 Fairways Lane
Mr. Maynard stated that he was a new resident to the City
of Roseville, and was opposed to the proj ect.

Jennifer Page, County Road B
Ms. Page, a new resident, expressed her concern
regarding increased traffic with the proposed project; why
it was necessary for the City of Roseville residents to take
care of traffic issues for non-residents using Highway 280;
and expressed concern regarding increasing issues along
County Road B.
