<br />Regular City Council Minutes 12/02/02 <br />Page 15 <br /> <br />Gordy Howe 2245, 2263, 2275 West County Road B <br />(new development) <br />Mr. Howe stated that, when he first heard about the <br />closure he wasn't too concerned, but now he concurred <br />with those residents expressing opposition, citing the <br />length of the cul-de-sac created with the closing of County <br />Road B at Highway 280, and other safety ramifications in <br />the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Mary Matera, County Road B and Highway 280 <br />Ms. Matera spoke to the lack of signage identifying the <br />exit on Terminal Road and suggested that Terminal Road <br />improvements would eliminate lots of traffic. Ms. Matera <br />expressed her opposition to closing County Road B at <br />Highway 280, but asked that the emergency access be a <br />priority concern if that were to happen. <br /> <br />Fran Anderson, 2276 West County Road B <br />Ms. Anderson concurred with previous comments against <br />the proj ect, inferring that the only reason County Road B <br />was being closed was to access federal funds. <br /> <br />Ken Gibson, West County Road B <br />Mr. Gibson asked for Council consideration that closing <br />County Road B may increase his residential fire insurance <br />premiums. Mr. Gibson stated that there were several <br />streets that would not have access for turnarounds, Eustice <br />and St. Croix and St. Stephens. <br /> <br />Tom Maynard, 2091 Fairways Lane <br />Mr. Maynard stated that he was a new resident to the City <br />of Roseville, and was opposed to the proj ect. <br /> <br />Jennifer Page, County Road B <br />Ms. Page, a new resident, expressed her concern <br />regarding increased traffic with the proposed project; why <br />it was necessary for the City of Roseville residents to take <br />care of traffic issues for non-residents using Highway 280; <br />and expressed concern regarding increasing issues along <br />County Road B. <br />
