Ms. Heck stated that it made good business sense to close County Road B at the time Highway 280 improvements are done. Billie Heck, 2321 County Road B Billie spoke regarding his safety issues in getting to the school bus in the morning; having no room for biking or walking along County Road B; and the number of parents not allowing their children to walk or bike along County Road B due to safety concerns. George LaTendre, 2121 West County Road B Mr. LaTendre stated that the proposed project would be decreasing traffic in and out of Cleveland and County Road B; that it was not increasing danger, but if left open, traffic will be increasing each year; and that it was a matter of safety versus convenience. John Gohner, St. Croix Road Mr. Gohner stated that, as he was home during the day, he had done his own unofficial survey of vehicles, and that in his opinion, most don't turn onto County Road B from Highway 280. Steve Nelson, Fairways Lane Mr. Nelson stated that, as a seven year resident of Roseville with four (4) children, his family uses County Road B to get to parks and for other recreational purposes. Mr. Nelson stated that safety is a concern due to semi- truck traffic along County Road B, but it would no longer be a problem if the road were closed. Mr. Nelson stated that, while he wasn't supportive of the plan as it stood unless attention were paid to emergency vehicle access and a review of the traffic increases on County Road B and Cleveland. Mr. Nelson stated that a safer street was a good return for closure of access, and supported future County Road B improvements.
