Ms. Heck stated that it made good business sense <br />to close County Road B at the time Highway 280 <br />improvements are done. <br /> <br />Billie Heck, 2321 County Road B <br />Billie spoke regarding his safety issues in getting to the <br />school bus in the morning; having no room for biking or <br />walking along County Road B; and the number of parents <br />not allowing their children to walk or bike along County <br />Road B due to safety concerns. <br /> <br />George LaTendre, 2121 West County Road B <br />Mr. LaTendre stated that the proposed project would be <br />decreasing traffic in and out of Cleveland and County <br />Road B; that it was not increasing danger, but if left open, <br />traffic will be increasing each year; and that it was a <br />matter of safety versus convenience. <br /> <br />John Gohner, St. Croix Road <br />Mr. Gohner stated that, as he was home during the day, he <br />had done his own unofficial survey of vehicles, and that in <br />his opinion, most don't turn onto County Road B from <br />Highway 280. <br /> <br />Steve Nelson, Fairways Lane <br />Mr. Nelson stated that, as a seven year resident of <br />Roseville with four (4) children, his family uses County <br />Road B to get to parks and for other recreational purposes. <br />Mr. Nelson stated that safety is a concern due to semi- <br />truck traffic along County Road B, but it would no longer <br />be a problem if the road were closed. Mr. Nelson stated <br />that, while he wasn't supportive of the plan as it stood <br />unless attention were paid to emergency vehicle access <br />and a review of the traffic increases on County Road B <br />and Cleveland. Mr. Nelson stated that a safer street was a <br />good return for closure of access, and supported future <br />County Road B improvements. <br />
