National Night Out Award <br />Police Chief Carol Sletner introduced Police Department <br />Communications Specialist Heather Darby, who reported <br />on the eleventh (11 th) annual National Night Out with over <br />seventy (70) neighborhood block parties visited by <br />personnel from the Police and/or Fire Department. Ms. <br />Darby thanked citizens for their participation and <br />acknowledged receipt of the 11 th annual award to the City <br />Council and citizens of Roseville their participation. <br /> <br />National <br />Night Out <br />A ward <br /> <br />B. Law Enforcement Honor Guard Law Enforcement <br />Police Chief Carol Sletner introduced Sergeant Greg Honor Guard <br />Levendoski, a fifteen (15) year veteran with the Roseville <br />Police DepartrI1ent. <br /> <br />Sgt. Levendoski acknowledged his initial involvement <br />with the Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA) <br />upon the death of fellow officer, Corporal Timothy Boll, <br />killed in the line of duty on June 7, 1997. Sgt. Levendoski <br />reviewed the purposes of LEMA to assist grieving families <br />and law enforcement departments; with involvement <br />through three (3) year commitment renewals; his honor <br />guard training at Camp Ripley in 1997 followed by a week <br />at Fort Meyer in Washington, D.C.; and monthly 3 hour <br />training sessions. Sgt. Levendoski stated that he is a <br />continuing member and now an instructor, and would like <br />to continue working with the group. <br /> <br />Chief Sletner presented a Certificate of Appreciation on <br />behalf of Sgt. Levendoski, the department and the City of <br />Roseville. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn expressed his congratulations, and <br />asked if contributions were accepted by LEMA from the <br />general public. <br /> <br />Sgt.
