<br />Regular City Council Minutes -12/16/02 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Public Works Director Schwartz advised that the Council- <br />approved plans for the Larpenteur Avenue pathway <br />included federal grant funds of approximately $240,000 - <br />$250,000, and this funding would be lost should the <br />project not take place in 2003. <br /> <br />Discussion included potential loss of federal funding for <br />the Larpenteur Avenue pathway proj ect and the <br />expectations of the neighborhood regarding the <br />improvement; and the need for improved maintenance of <br />the existing pathway system prior to building any <br />additional pathways. <br /> <br />Mr. Lambert appeared at the podium to speak, but was not <br />recognized by Mayor Kysylyczyn. Mayor Kysylyczyn <br />asked that the microphone be turned off at the podium due <br />4-" rod"'..... "'s,.., <br />LV e;;ue;; i:). <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />(Pathway Construction Reduction $100,000) <br />Ayes: Kough, Schroeder and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Klausing and Maschka <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka appealed the decision of the <br />Chair; citing that Mayor Kysylyczyn had closed the Public <br />Hearing prior to receipt of Councilmember Schroeder's <br />proposed budget revisions. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough called for a Point of Privilege for <br />the Mayor to allow Mr. Lambert to comment. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn refused acknowledgment and called <br />for any other amendments to the original Maschka motion <br />at $8,822,884. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, an amendment <br />to the original Maschka motion to increase the budget <br />amount by $5,000 for inclusion of funding for the <br />Ambassador Foundation which sponsors the Miss <br />Roseville Pageant. <br />
