City Services and <br />Partnerships <br />Residents werc asked two quesiions about the %asibiiity of the City of Roseville providing <br />services in conjunction with other entities. First, the private sector was considered: <br />The City �f Roseville provides a number of servic•es <br />to its residents, including police, Jire, street repair and <br />maintenunce, park and trQil maintenance, economic <br />development, recrealivnal facilities, building inspec- <br />tion, and code en_forcement. <br />In �eneral, are there any services provided by city �ov- <br />ernment which you think could he jus[ as effectively <br />or more e fectively either completefy undertaken by <br />the private sector or through public private pctrtner- <br />ships? <br />Eighty-five percent were either unable to rzspond or did not favor grivatization ar partnersl�ips i�� <br />the provision of city services: <br />NO ANSWER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 38°/a <br />NONE . . . _ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 47�/0 <br />BUILDING INSPECTION . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8% <br />PARK MAIIVTENANCE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7% <br />Two candidates were mentioned by a mUderate number of respo�dents: eight percent cited <br />"building inspection," while sevcn percent pointed to "park maintenance." <br />"None" was offered most oi�en by households containing children, college graduates, over <br />$SO,Q00 annual income households and Precincts One, Two and `rhree residents. "Building <br />inspection" was mentioned by college graduates, owners of homes valued at over $150,OOO.QO <br />and men.
