They will ensure that there will be sufficient, safe, <br />age appropriate, affardable and inviting leisure activities to meet <br />the needs of the future. Careful planning by citizens, city profes- <br />siona�s, and intergovernmental cooperation will be critical to meet <br />future demands. <br />STRATEGIES: <br />1. Provide for coordination by all units of government, churches and <br />th� private sector in the provision of programs and services. <br />2. Develop a culturai arts comma.ttee ta plan and implement activities <br />for cultural and artistic participation and appreciation. <br />3. Create additional seasonal/special events such as a winter festi- <br />val. <br />4. Increase programs for understanding, appreciating and preserving <br />nature. <br />5. Establish focus groups to identify unmet programs and recreational <br />needs within the City of Roseville (e.g. 45-55 age, over 55, family <br />units, inda.viduals with physical/mental disabi}.ities, etc.). <br />6. Utilize focus groups to maintain an ongoing assessment to ensure <br />that the unmet pragram needs are identified and satisfied. <br />0 <br />
