In compliance with the Waste Management Act and later amend- ments to the Act, the Metrapolitan Council has provided a Regional Guide/Policy Plan for waste abatement and cessatian �f current landfill practices, and Ramsey County has produced a preliminary Solid Waste Management Master Plan. Roseville will be required to meet County waste reduction and source separatian goals. If such goals are nat met, the County has the authority to impose mandatory source separa- tion. RECOMMENDATIONS 1a. Roseville should encourage Ramsey County to finalize its Solid Waste Management Master P�.an as promptly as practical; that incJ.udes residential source separation goals and resi- dential waste reduction goals.
