Venters seconded the <br />amended motion. All aye — 7/0. <br />Commissioner Oftelie reported on giving flower bulbs to attendees, noting that she had <br />negotiated with Pletchers Greenhouse to pay $.20/bulb, and planned to purchase 100 bulbs. <br />Commissioner Oftelie advised that Barb Ball, J. C. Pcnncy representative, had volunteered to <br />decorate the bulbs. Commissioner McKenzie volunteered to pick up the bulbs and deliver to Ms. <br />Bahl. <br />Commissioner McKenzie reviewed the schedule; anticipating four presenters consisting of a <br />teacher; Steve Szn�ith; local hotel manager of Somali descent; a Ciiy employee; and a resident. <br />Commissioner McKenzie said a final schedule and commitment from presenters should be <br />available Friday; and noted #hat she would then e-mail that to Commissioners for cotx�ment. If <br />necessary, the planning committee could meet again in two weeks. <br />Commissioner Oftelie rcvicwed the proposed schedule: <br />o Dinner/Meet and Greet <br />o Seating for introduction and stories of panelists wouid be around the room in circular <br />fashion. <br />o Introduction: A 5-minutc introduction, with Chair Delmore valunteering to provide <br />the introduction and purpose of the forum. <br />Commissioner McKen�ie proposed either Mayor Klausing or City Manager Malinen <br />provide a welcotne duxing that introductory time. Commissioners concurred. <br />Commissioner Oftelie noted that an emcee, preferably from the HRC, still needed to <br />be determined. Commissioner Singleton volunteered to scrve as the emcee. <br />o PaneUStories by four speakers: Commissioner Oftelie said speakers would tell their <br />stories. <br />
