Presides at Commission meetu�gs: <br />A. Expedites the rr►eeting process <br />B. Ensures rules of xxzeeting procedurc are followed, including Roberts <br />Rules of Order as modified by thc Commission. <br />3. Serves as the contact person foz a human rights complaint. <br />A. Assigns gricvances to Commission. rnembers. <br />4. Provides leadership and organization for the Commission. <br />Rolc of Commission Vice Chair <br />Assumes ihe duties of the Chair in the absence of the Chair. <br />Role of the Commission in Relation to Staff <br />1. The Commission members, staff; and City Council work cooperatively as a team <br />to address Human Rights issues. <br />2. Sfiaff provides information to Commission mezxzbezs to clarify issues related to <br />Humaal R�i�ts iterns. <br />A. Cozx�ission members should bc cognizant of staff workload and time <br />constrainis when rneeting with staff or requesting information. <br />B. To ensure t1�e nnost effective provision of information, all information <br />requests are made through the staff liaison. <br />
