Roseville Sister City Association <br />Minutes <br />March 3, 2004 <br />Present: James and Joyce Boardson, Lilian Dargis, Yuriko Farmer, Jan Schultz, <br />Tom and Virginia Turba <br />Miniate s : <br />�.. `ireasurer's report: Tom has transferre bank account names. <br />2. Shinmachi: Lilian and Yuriko and a Shinmachi trip meeting with 25 interested <br />people at [his time. There are no defined number of students going to Japan <br />at this time. Yuriko is working on trying to arrange a p��ckage deal with the <br />airlines. The Japanese students wi11 be arriving on August 8. There W�ii be a <br />picinic in the park on Sunday, Aug. y from 4-6 PM, followed by a public a£fair <br />involving crafts and sicilled activiCies. <br />3. Costa Rica: We still have not been able to get a"regort" from Kia Li�1y, the <br />medical student who took the sewing machine down. We are hoping to be abZe to <br />put an article in the local paper about her trip. We are sCil.l hoping to get <br />a laptop computer down and another sewing machine if possible. <br />4. New business: �Toyce contacted T'arks and Rec for an application for this years <br />Rosefest parade, which has heen turned in. <br />5. Informarion Items: Tom rezninded us that the Shoreview Annual Ger.man Winter <br />Dinner with Mary Eisenhowere as guesr speaker is March 13. <br />6. There will be no ineeting in Apri]..
