Treasurer's report: No change. Joyce did submit a bill for $82.07 to cover the cost of 301� of candy and the ice cream at the Rosefest parade. 2. Shinmachz: A group of studenCs is expected to go to Shinmachi this next summer: however, work has no� started on the Crip. The group is hoping to be ahle to obtain funds to suppliment the cost of the airfare for participants. 3. Costa Rica: Celebration'of independance was held at the Ordway this year with a cacktail party afterwards. �t was attended by Judy Janiak, John and Joyce Goedeke, and Tom and Virginia lurba. Over Z tons of books were donated through Sister City to Costa Rica from Friends o� the Library and the Scouts 297 troop from Rosev�l�e. These have already been shipped Chrough the Ccns.ulate thanks to tom, who personally delivered them. We are still expecCing the 21 year old teache.r to be coming. Kris and Stew, as well as Heather Sams are expect�ng to host. We still would like another teacher. A1so, Kris, Stew, and Heather will need others to help host so that they can have a break, such as on weekends. 4. Additional Costa R�ca news: There is an�icipation that 5tudents will come up in January. However, Tom has not heard from Holly Young, yet. �ris and Stew are interested in getting kyak polo started in Costa Rica. They are actively involoved here, with games starting last week in OCtober at the Arlington High Schoo�, playing 8:fl0 to 10:00 PM. There has �een no recent word from Bob Erdman about going to C.R. for basketball clinics zn February. 5. �unding Raisingxscrape book: Nothing new has pro'gressed.
