This is particularty important because traffic congestion in this <br />highly commercialized area presents significant problems as paid-on-call firefighters attempt to <br />get to the station in a timely manner for emergency calls. This also creates a hazardous siivation <br />and delays, as fire engines attempt to serpentine through this maze of heavy traffic. Significant <br />commercial re-development is also being proposed for the west side of the city. <br />Figure 3 <br />�—, <br />Fire Station #3 was built in 1974 and is located on Dale Street (east side station}.
