• Develop and implement programs that promote consistent communication and <br />partnerships with external agencies. <br />• Develop and implement programs to identify issues and work toward a resolu#ion <br />that allows RFD and the respective agency to improve �nut�xal operations. <br />Action Plan <br />AP 6.20 Chief officers shall share the responsibility of attending regional and state <br />meetings to represent the needs of RFD and to further or mission of achieving "leader <br />status" in the Metro Region. These meetings sha11 include, but not be limited to: Metro <br />Fire Chzefs, Ramsey County Fire Chzefs, Mizun�esata State Fire Chiefs, Capitol City <br />Regional Mutual-Aid Association, State Fire Marshal's Association, Fire Instructar <br />Association of Minnesota, and Capitol City Regional Training Association. A chief's <br />staff representative shall attend 75% of all regu�arly scheduled meetings of these groups. <br />A schedule of which chief officer is to attend each meeting shall be established. <br />PRIORITY 2. <br />AP 6.21 Operations Division shall monitor all mutual and automatic aid contracts with <br />area fi�e departments. An annual report will detail any updates to these contracts and <br />include statistics of responses, outcomes, a.rid cost of the program. PRIORYTY 4. <br />AP 6.22 Operations Division shall establish and maintain a good working relationship <br />with all utility providers. A bi-annual meeting will be held to identify areas for <br />improvement, with minutes provided to the fire chief. PRIORITY 4. <br />AP 6.23 Operations Division shall meet, no less than quarterly, with a representative of <br />St. Paul Fire Department Comnnunications Center for the purpose of identifying areas of <br />dispatching a.nd radio communications improveznents. Minutes shall be provided to the <br />fire chief. PRIORITY 4. <br />AP 6.24 PIE Division shall organize and host an meeting of the departnnez�t's a.rson <br />investigators and representatives from Roseville Police and the State Fue Marshal's <br />office on a bi-annual basis for the purpose of identifying areas for innprovement, with <br />minutes provided to the fire chief. PRiORITY 4. <br />AP 6.25 Operations Division shall host a bz-annual meeting with representatives from <br />the Departznent of Emergency Management to assure efficient operations. The purpose <br />of these meetings will be to identify areas for improvement, with minutes provided to the <br />fire chief. PRIORITY 4. <br />AP 6.26 Training Division shall host an annual meeting with representatives from <br />Hennepin Technical College, MnSCU Fire/EMS/Safety Center and other training <br />agencies we contract for services with to identify areas for improvements in training and <br />to ensure we arc utilizing all availablc resourccs for training our members, with minutes <br />provided to the fire chief.
