- There are approximately 1500 names/addresses that we don't have due <br />to the data privacy of certain groups that sent out the postcards for us. <br />- A list of volunteer organizations will be sent to the Focns and Review <br />Newspapers along with thank you notes. <br />- The committee recommends that we wait approximately 10 years before <br />doing another volunteer recognition. <br />IV. Volunteer Way <br />- It was felt that was very successful just by the interest it generated. <br />- 2S volunteer groups representing Rosevi�le were planning on attending, 9 came, 6 others <br />came, but didn't stay. <br />- The committee recommends that "Volunteer Way" t� included in other activities, ex. Rose <br />Fest. <br />V. Restaurants <br />- The restaurants were very happy for the exposure and enjoyed being a part of the <br />weekend. <br />- Outback was the biggest draw, they were there only on Saturday, and they would <br />participate again. <br />- Recommendation was to charge at least $100.00 plus the license for future times. <br />VI. Carnival <br />- Carnival as we understand, wa.s not successful. <br />The committee also commended the people of the Parks and Recreation Department and the Oval <br />for the fantastic job they did ali weekend. They didn't get the thanks that they deserved for a11 their <br />hard work and willingness they showed in helping. <br />The committee recommendation was that if this event were take place again, it might be helpful to <br />have restaurants, a dance with a featured band (ex. Rocking Hollywood's, crafters (on the top <br />parking lot), and no carnival. <br />Times recommended: <br />- June/Rosefest <br />- 5eptember - after the State Fair <br />
