City of Roseville — 2004 Budget Division /Program: Police Patrol Operations Organizational Responsibility: Chief of Police Division /Program Description The Operations Division encompasses all uniformed personnel and is the largest division of the Police Department. This division is on duty 24 hours per day. The division members are the most visible members of the department and are the first to respond to emergency situations. The Operation Division's activities are accounted for in the General Fund. 2004 Goals and Objectives • Aggressively enforce traffic laws to reduce traffic accidents. • Proactive patrol measures to deter crime. • Continuation of crime impact teams and aggressive enforcement of DWI laws. • Implementation of less than lethal technologies, including taser.
