City of Roseville — 2012 Budget Division /Program: Police Investigations Organizational Responsibility: Chief of Police Division / Program Description The Criminal Investigation Unit is responsible for the review, follow -up and case presentation to the County /City attorney on all criminal cases that are not resolved at the Department's Patrol Unit Level. The Investigation Unit's activities are accounted for in the General Fund. 2012 Goals and Objectives • Implement a year -round park patrol. • Encourage a network of user groups among law enforcement levels in the seven county metro area • Partner with the BCA and Ramsey County to investigate internet crimes against children. • Continue to expand Neighborhood Watch program to include a virtual block watch component. • Institute virtual meetings to share information between other governmental jurisdictions.
