<br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />Minutes of <br />Monday, February 26, 2007 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked the Public Works crews for their work over the <br />weekend, and expressed his pride in the job well-done. Councilmember Pust <br />concurred. <br /> <br />Pust moved, Ihlan seconded, authorizing staff to proceed with the proposed <br />terms and conditions of the 2007 - 2009 collective bargaining agreement <br />with the Local 49, pending an acceptance vote by the union on March 1, <br />2007; terms as outlined in the Request for council Action dated February 26, <br />2007. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in support of the three-year agreement, noting the <br />time-consuming and expensive nature of negotiations; and opined this would <br />allow longer-term budgeting as previously endorsed by Councilmember <br />Roe. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust thanked Ms. Bacon and union representatives for their <br />work in achieving agreement on a three-year agreement. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Roe; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />8. Consider Adoption of a Resolution regarding the Request of BHJN, <br />LLC (a subsidiary of ACR Homes) to Approve a Conditional Use Per- <br />mit (CUP) for a Child Daycare Center in the Strip Center at 2435 - <br />2459 Rice Street (PF07-004) <br /> <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd presented and briefly reviewed the request of <br />BHJN, LLC seeking a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow the inclusion <br />of a child daycare in their retail strip center at 2435 - 2459 Rice Street. <br /> <br />Staff recommended approval of the requested CUP, subject to certain condi- <br />tions as outlined in Section 7 and subject to conditions in Section 8 of the <br />Request for Council Action dated February 26,2007. <br /> <br />Discussion included proposed hours of operation; estimated traffic impacts <br />and increases for Transit and the adjacent residential area; additional access <br />
