Regular City Council Meeting Monday, May 07, 2007 Page 14 Councilmember Pust concurred with Mayor Klausing regarding the City Council setting priorities; however noted that the commissions may be able to provide input that the Council is not aware of, and that may be needed for the Council in setting their priorities and policies. Mayor Klausing concurred that he and the City Council wanted to hear their strategies. Further discussion included when the City Council would next see the document; with Councilmembers concurring that they would like to see it within the next 30 days or so, for a potential one-hour discus- sion at a Study Session or at a regular business meeting, as agenda time allowed. d. Communications Plan - Discuss and Provide Direction and Fund- ing for Imagine Roseville 2025 Communications Plan Staff provided a first draft of a possible flyer to be used to highlight key projects and establishing a timeline for Council consideration in seeking public comment and involvement. City Manager Malinen reviewed the staff report dated May 7, 2007; and advised that the proposed figures for a community survey were beyond his estimates and his scope of approximately $10,000. Councilmember Pust expressed appreciation to staff for their initiative in putting the flyer together; expressing her enthusiastic interest in continuing the process and the communication plan to do so. Coun- cilmember Pust opined that the community had many communication experts, and in attempting to get community input, it was wise to con- sider ways to generate their involvement, at least in the brainstorming process. Councilmember Pust noted the lack of branding with the logo in the flyer; and suggested this be one aspect for discussion with a designer, and to continue the visibility aspect. Councilmember Pust further questioned how to get this to community organizations.
