Comprehensive Plan Update - Consider Selection of Qualified <br />Firms to Seek Full Proposals for the 2008 Comprehensive Plan <br />Update <br />Community Development Director John Stark reviewed the receipt of <br />responses to the City's Request for Qualifications, in accordance with <br />City Council action and authorization at their April 11, 2007 meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Stark noted that staff had sent out 32 RFQ packages to consulting <br />firms specializing in comprehensive planning; with eight responses; <br />two firms declining the project; and six teams submitting their qualifi- <br />cations by the May 1St deadline. Mr. Stark noted that those firms <br />submitting qualifications included: Bonestroo, Hoisington Koegler <br />Group Inc. (HKGI), McCombs Frank Roos Associates, Inc. (MFRA), <br />Olsson Associates, SRF Consulting Group Inc. (SRF), and URS. <br /> <br />Mr. Stark noted that on June 4, 2007, representatives from the Com- <br />munity Development, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works De- <br />partments met to review the qualifications of each of the six teams, <br />and prior to the meeting, individuals were asked to rank each team <br />based on the team's experience, relevance of the past projects, and <br />overall qualifications of the submittal.
